Snagging Inspection by The House Inspector

About Us

Our director, Pete, established The House Inspector Snagging following a successful 22-year career as a senior site manager with one of the UK’s leading Tier 1 construction groups. Prior to this, he had over 15 years of experience running his own building company. Pete's trade background has proven invaluable in his work. He prides himself on working to high standards and always providing excellent customer service.

Pete has seen everything there is to see and knows everything there is to know about the industry. He has a real passion and drive for ensuring that you get the most out of your property. We understand that your home isn't just bricks and mortar; it's somewhere you spend the majority of your time and build a life around. By identifying snagging issues early on, we can ensure that you get the most out of your new build and don't lose out unnecessarily due to issues that aren't your fault.

We cover Buckinghamshire, Bedfordshire, Herefordshire, Greater London, Berkshire, Oxfordshire, Derbyshire, Manchester, Northamptonshire, Warwickshire, Leicestershire, Worcestershire, Staffordshire, Gloucestershire, Wiltshire, Surrey and Nottinghamshire. If your new build falls outside of these areas, we may still be able to accommodate you, so please contact us to see if we can help.

What is Snagging?

Snagging is the process of thoroughly inspecting a newly built property for any defects or potential problems that may affect its quality or safety. Our snagging inspections are designed to identify any issues with the build, materials, or workmanship that fall outside of acceptable tolerances.

We carry out a comprehensive inspection covering everything from plumbing and electrical systems to finishes and fittings. Once completed, we'll provide a detailed report highlighting any problems we've identified, giving you confidence in the quality of your new home.
