Pete was brilliant, really informative, helpful and responsive when enquiring about snagging. He arrived promptly on the day and was very thorough. He was friendly, polite, and respectful of our new home. His report was comprehensive and the overview he provided for clarity was so helpful and reassuring. Peter Reynolds’s snagging report was brilliant and invaluable, due to his 40+ years of experience including previously being a builder himself, he found issues which we would never have noticed but would have been serious if they hadn’t been flagged to the developers and rectified. The developers accepted all of the issues he identified and so far have spent 3 weeks addressing them. The report included a photograph and an arrow pointing to each item so it was easy for us and the developers to understand. Extremely professional, excellent communicator providing invaluable advice and we received the report on the day of the inspection, highly recommend.

Pete carried out my new build post completion snagging inspection and did a great job. From requesting an appointment to the actual day of inspection, Pete maintained great communication and was understanding when my purchase was initially delayed. On the day of inspection, he was on time and is a wonderfully personable chap! He was respectful of my property and his vast experience shines through as he worked diligently and thoroughly to compile my snagging list. I can definitely recommend The House Inspector!

Pete from the House Inspector was great. His communication prior to the appointment was clear and concise. He fully explained the his process and timings prior to the appointment. The inspection was executed in a timely fashion and I received the report write up quickly. The report was again clear and concise and Pete also followed this up with further support fully explaining out any questions I had. I would not hesitate to use Pete again in future or to recommend him to anyone else.

I was very impressed with the attention to detail and friendly customer service from Pete. He found many snags in my new build that I had not spotted and his knowledge of current building standards/regulations is in depth. He is also more than happy to discuss his findings with you as well as provide a detailed report. I would definitely recommend him and would use again.

We contacted Pete ahead of completing on our new build property, as neither my wife nor I had any real experience with what to look for when it came to snagging. Pete gave us great advice from the get go and was then incredibly kind and flexible when we experienced unforeseen delays and difficulties with the move. On the day, Pete was right on time and went over every inch of the property inside and out. He was polite, unobtrusive and had the survey done before lunchtime. There were all sorts of little bits and pieces that we would never have seen or even thought to look for; Pete's expertise and experience has undoubtedly saved us from missing issues that we would have regretted not sorting in the future. We had the full report before the end of the day, presented in both summary and fully itemised form, which means you can just forward it on to your developer and ditch the hassle of filling out a deliberately short paper form! For what Pete charges, you'd be absolutely crazy not to get him in to look at your new build, it's a drop in the ocean amongst the vast expense of moving house and it will save you so much grief in the process!

After my first interaction with Pete, I know he was going to be good. After seeing his work on Instagram we booked Pete to attend our new build 3 Bedroom house. Pete spent a good hour outside the property and then several inside, a full comprehensive list, with pictures, arrows, description was produced outlining over 100 snags to be completed. Item we would never have picked up on ourselves! This included things like missing kitchen plinths and fault lights, loose stairs, carpet snags and everything inbetween! We handed our snag over to the developer, I was apprehensive about this, needless to say over the following days and weeks, each snag highlighted by Pete has been being dealt with one by one. Quite honestly the best £350 I have ever spent. I would highly recommend Pete if you are looking for a inspection of your new home. Pete was good with my dog who followed him around!

I am glad I had the Snagging Inspection as a peace of mind. It was more than peace of mind, very useful. . Detailed report with photo evidence. . Also the Inspector’s thoughts/comments regarding to the report & quality of building. . Inspected places I would not be able to check or noticed. . It helped me to fill in “14 days conformation visit record” form.

Everything was smooth, from start to end. Peter is knowledgeable, accurate and polite, and has an eye for details that we never noticed. It will save us a lot of money as we already raised our complaints to the developer. Wonderful person to work with.

We did our research on snagging providers and were immediately impressed by Pete’s approach. He is friendly, knowledgeable and most importantly has a positive attitude. Pete came to our new build house at a very early hour so he could get a head start before our furniture was due to arrive from storage. He was shadowed by our site manager, a new rule apparently, and they seemed to get on well. In fact at least one snag was dealt with immediately as a result so that was great! Our report was received quickly, with photos and a clear explanation of each issue. We added a few of our own and this is now with our on site team. We have contacted Pete for a couple of follow up queries and his reply is always helpful and prompt. Would definitely recommend Pete’s services and wish him well as he works towards RICS accreditation.

The inspector arrived at the appointment time punctual. He carried out the inspection thoroughly and carefully and spent 4 hours in total for our 3 bed rooms house. We receive the written report with photos and short description within 24 hours after inspection.

Its rare to find someone who is so dedicated to their work these days. We are hard to please and often left disappointed but not with Pete. A knowledgeable, punctual and genuine person. Pete took the time to explain everything and took his time going over ever aspect of the house, we felt very comfortable with Pete and had absolute trust in him as he had true old school values and service. He will be sure to find important issues you never knew existed. I must mention this service also extends to the after care as he has been on hand every step of the way and even helped us with snags after the initial inspection. It will be the best investment you will ever make on your new home.

We couldn't have asked for a more thorough inspection of our home, Pete discovered many issues that could have caused issues down the line and listed them all in a detailed report that we then sent to our developers. Pete's a great bloke who took time to advise me on some other queries I had with the house.

Pete was awesome. I got a very quick appointment. Price was reasonable. He was very proactive. He gave me clear instructions and all went perfectly as he said beforehand. He did more what we have asked for. He was always available to sort out all our queries. His snagging list was very elaborate. Builder has agreed to the list. I would definitely recommend him. Pete is clearly a master of his trade and is extremely knowledgeable and skilled, with a keen eye for detail. I contacted him to complete our snagging process and he booked me in swiftly and he then made contact prior to the inspection date to ensure I was all set for him to complete the work. His inspection was very thorough and he picked up on things that the untrained eye simply would not. This will have undoubtedly saved me hundreds, if not thousands and many hours of work further down the line in rectifying issues on my new build. He is punctual, efficient and organised and on top of that, is really approachable and an all round nice guy. I had the report the same day and nothing was too much trouble.
